It is obtained from the seeds (kernels) of peach using the cold pressed method. Peach kernel oil is colourless to pale yellow and has a faint almond-like aroma. It is widely used as a cosmetic oil, primarily for skin care, because it absorbs quickly and is non-comedogenic.

Composition (useful substances)

 Just like other vegetable oils, peach kernel oil is rich in unsaturated and saturated fatty acids, such as oleic acid, stearic acid, linoleic acid and linolenic acid. It also contains pangamic acid (also known as vitamin B15), vitamins A, C and E, phospholipids. Minerals (calcium, potassium, phoshporus, iron) can also be found in peach kernel oil.

Properties and application

Peach kernel oil has a wide range of useful properties. For example, it has an anti-inflammatory, moisturising, regenerative, rejuvenating, softening, whitening and conditioning effect. That is why this oil is perfect for dry, sensitive and ageing skin, although it is suitable for all skin types.
