Aroma:

fresh, sweet, buttery, grassy with a clear fruity note, bitter, floral, reminds scent of rose with a hint of mint.

Obtained by:

geranium essential oil is obtained from leaves of perennial evergreen subshrub of Geranium (Pelargonium roseum) of Geraniaceae family by using method ofsteam distillation.

Characteristics:

antidepressant, tonic; immunostimulant, antitumoral; regenerative, wound-healing, antiseptic; spasmolytic, analgetic, anti-inflammatory, decongestant; antiallergic; antiarrhythmic; vasorelaxant, soft hypotensive, anticoagulant and antihemorrhagic; antiulcer; diuretic; antidiabetic, stimulates adrenal cortex, normalizes menstrual cycle; vermifuge, antiparasitic, antifungal; anticellulite action; removes rash, inflammation and desquamation of dry and sensitive skin; erotic stimulant; repellent.

Recommended for treatment of:

Properties of oil:

Ways of using, dosage:

for massage of head: to blend geranium oil with carrier oil in a proportion 1: 3.
for common massage: 5 drops of essential oil per 1 spoon of carrier oil
cosmetics enrichment: 4—5 drops of essential oil per 5 ml of base.
bath: 7-10 drops of emulsified essential oils..
vaporization in aroma lamp: 3-4 drops per 15 m2 ;

Clear unemulsified geranium essential oil can be applied directly on burns, scars and herpes blisters.

Blend with other oils:

with orange oil, lemon oil, basil oil, bergamot oil, grapefruit oil, jasmine oil, juniper oil, cedar oil, lavender oil, patchouli oil, cinnamon oil, lime oil, neroli oil, rose oil, rosmary oil, santal oil, citronella oil, common sage oil, petitgrein oil, rosewood oil.

Caution:

Do not use during pregnancy and while you are taking contraceptives, as well as do not use for children under to 6 years and at reduced blood sugar. Geranium essential oil may cause irritation and allergic reactions in a case of sensitive skin.

Storage:
